Successful start of winning projects - Minister of Economic Affairs Wolfgang Tiefensee hands over funding decision

On August 8, 2019 in Bad Langensalza, Wolfgang Tiefensee, Thuringia's Minister of Economic Affairs, presented the award notices to the winners of the first technology competition "GetStarted2gether". The competition, sponsored by the Research and Technology Association of Thuringia (Forschungs- und Technologieverbund Thüringen e.V.) with the support of the Thuringian Ministry of Economics, Science and the Digital Society, awards prizes to innovative ideas with start-up capital in order to implement them effectively in the market. In the first round of the competition in May 2019, six business ideas convinced the jurors. In addition to financial support totalling €600,000 for all prize winners, the young founders can now use the entire infrastructure of a business-oriented research institution in Thuringia - including all-round support by experienced scientists - free of charge for six months.

CiS Forschungsinstitut für Mikrosensorik GmbH, a research institute with close links to industry, will support the young company CMOS-IR GmbH from Erfurt. CMOS-IR GmbH offers the latest generation of MEMS-IR emitter chips and thermopile IR detector chips.
