New management at CiS

Press release 16/2016With the retirement of Dr. Hans-Joachim Freitag, Managing Director for many years, in the spring of this year, Prof. Dr. Thomas Ortlepp took over the management of CiS Forschungsinstitut für Mikrosensorik GmbH. The graduate mathematician is a proven expert in the field of microelectronics and sensor technology. His career has taken him from the Technical University of Ilmenau to the University of Twente in Holland and the University of Berkeley in California to CiS a few years ago. He also holds a chair at the University of Yokohama.

The Supervisory Board of CiS Forschungsinstitut für Mikrosensorik GmbH has now appointed Thomas Brock as an additional Managing Director with effect from August 1, 2016 and transferred responsibility for Marketing and Finance/Controlling to him.
The experienced business economist has a long career in various banks. Most recently, he held a management position in the corporate customer business of a bank.
Prof. Dr. Ortlepp, responsible for Research, Development and Technology, and Mr. Brock will jointly manage the CiS Research Institute.
