Piezoresistive silicon sensors have many advantages here. They are temperature and long-term stable, highly miniaturizable and can be coupled directly with the electronics in a silicon sensor system. Depending on the requirements, cross-sensitivities can be reduced and the operating temperatures can be adapted. As a multi-sensor system, other measured variables such as temperature are recorded simultaneously.
