The CiS Research Institute is involved in various associations, societies and expert committees. The aim of this commitment is to actively participate in shaping the framework conditions of research policy as well as to participate in the bundling of competences of individual members in order to create valuable synergy effects. The founding membership of the German Industrial Research Association Konrad Zuse e.V. and its regional representative, the Forschungs- und Technologieverbund Thüringen e.V. (FTVT), is particularly worthy of mention.
Central Innovation Program for SMEs (ZIM)
The Central Innovation Program for SMEs (ZIM) promotes, among other things, the cooperation of SMEs and research institutions for the development and exploitation of innovative products, processes or technical services. We are active in ZIM innovation networks such as QPhot or Eco4Light and digiphysio.
Through project-funded innovation alliances, growth cores and consortia, we bundle and network interdisciplinary competencies and thus build trusting, long-term partnerships in research and industry.
Affiliated institute of the Ilmenau University of Technology
As an affiliated institute of the Ilmenau University of Technology, we support education and the transfer of basic research results into industrial applications. We cooperate with national and international academic institutions such as the University of Stuttgart, University of California, Berkeley, Yokohama National University and the German-Chinese MEMS Smart Sensor Institute in Nanjing.
Ensuring good scientific practice
The CiS Research Institute is committed to scientific integrity as the basis for its trustworthy research, development, and educational activities and, to this end, to the rules of good scientific practice, which are binding for all employees, including those in teaching and training.
To this end, the CiS Research Institute has concluded a cooperation agreement with the Technical University of Ilmenau (TU Ilmenau) to implement the DFG Code of Conduct “Guidelines for Good Scientific Practice.” Among other things, this agreement stipulates that the ombudspersons of the TU Ilmenau are also available to employees of the CiS Research Institute. These are:
