Laser-based planarization of contact surfaces on solar cells
German title: | Laserbasierte Planarisierung von Kontaktflächen an Solarzellen
Acronym: | LaPlaKon | |
Duration: | 1st January 2012 - 30th June 2014
Description: | The aim was to establish a laser ablation of the anti-reflective coating (ARC coating) by means of infrared femtosecond laser pulses (IR-fs laser pulses) that is not damaging to the silicon lattice. A nickel/copper/tin-based metallization with good adhesion and conductivity and one that does not damage the silicon lattice was realized. For this purpose, a planarization was created under the front contact surfaces. After diffusion and ARC coating, the ARC was again applied to these areas with an ultrashort pulse laser to subsequently deposit the contacts by electroplating.
