Green Energy with silicon thermogenerators
German title: | Green Energy mit Silizium Thermogeneratoren
Acronym: | SiTEG | |
Duration: | 1st July 2012 - 30th April 2014
Description: | The project demonstrated that silicon thermoelectric generators can generate electrical energy from the waste heat of technical and industrial equipment and, when integrated into CiS sensor and sensor systems, supply them with electrical energy sufficiently efficiently. Thermoelectric generators (thermogenerators) made of silicon do not offer the highest efficiency, but in the case of stable waste heat and cooling possibilities they still allow an economically reasonable use.
