Measurement routines and optical tests for radiation sensors
German title: | Messroutinen und optische Tests für Strahlungssensoren
Acronym: | MuT | |
Duration: | 1st November 2018 - 30th April 2021
Description: | The electrical characteristics of imaging sensors in high energy physics and medical technology must be measured before they are connected to the readout electronics. In the MUT project, 3 measurement methods (single fringe measurement, sequential multiple fringe measurement and sequential parallel measurement) were compared on double-sided processed fringe sensors with regard to the time required. It was found that only sequential parallel measurement significantly reduces the time required. Cross-sensitivities and measurement influences on neighboring strips must still be observed. An optical, automatic control of the defect images additionally supports the defect detection. These are categorized and automatically detected. The new processes reduce the costs of development work.
