| Description: | The aim of the project is to demonstrate a mobile gate-based quantum processor based on NV centers in diamond. The electrons of the NV centers and the nuclear spins of neighboring carbon nuclei form the qubits. These have spin states that can be read out optically and manipulated using microwaves. Since they are embedded in a diamond lattice, the NV centers are largely shielded from the environment and also function at room temperature. These highly integrated systems can be seamlessly connected to developments in CMOS technology for classical computers and manufactured as hybrid systems. | |
