Projekt: Contactless temperature sensors for on-demand climate control in vehicles (InnoPrepare)
Project No.: 2024 IIP 0012
15.09.2024 -31.03.2025
The CiS Research Institute is planning to open up new applications in a new project based on the technologies developed in-house together with partners from industry. One possible application involves the contactless recording of temperatures on vehicle interior surfaces for optimal control of vehicle air conditioning using a central sensor module located inside the vehicle. The contactless measuring principle makes it possible to design the sensors/electronics separately from other interior elements and simplifies subsequent separation and recycling. The data is transmitted via the vehicle electronics and the power is supplied via the vehicle electrical system. To this end, materials are being investigated, developed and characterized in order to develop a resource-saving climate control system in the vehicle, both on the material side and on the sensor side. As part of the InnoPrepare project, the essential preliminary work for the initiation of a joint project is being carried out.
The scope of the service amounts to €49,700.00 in the performance period from 15.09.2024 to 31.03.2025.
The project is part of the specialization field “Sustainable use of energy and resources” of the Regional Innovation Strategy for Intelligent Specialization and Economic Change in Thuringia (RIS Thuringia).
The project funded by the Free State of Thuringia was supported by funds from the European Union as part of the European Regional Development Fund (EFRE).
