Project: NDIR sensors for new medical applications (InnoPrepare)
Project-No.: 2024 IIP 0013
01.12.2024 – 30.06.2025
The aim of this InnoPrepare project is to identify new medical applications for NDIR sensors, assess their technical feasibility and market relevance and find the partners required for implementation. In addition to established procedures (e.g. lung function tests), there are numerous approaches for detecting metabolic diseases, the effect of drugs and therapies or other vital parameters based on certain gas species in the air we breathe. A concrete and market-relevant target application will be developed from the multitude of possibilities as part of the innovation voucher and a consortium will be formed for a joint R&D project to develop a demonstrator designed for this purpose.
The scope of the service amounts to € 46,400.00 in the performance period from 01.12.2024 to 30.06.2025.
The grant is earmarked for preparatory activities for the joint R&D project with the topic “NDIR sensors for new medical applications” for the application in the federal R&D funding program “INNO-KOM (BMWK)”. The project is part of the specialization field “Healthy Living and Health Economy” of the Regional Innovation Strategy for Intelligent Specialization and Economic Change in Thuringia (RIS Thuringia).
