From 18th August to 7th September 2025, it will be time to get pedaling again – for a bike-friendly Erfurt, less car traffic, and lots of new tree planting. As every year, the Erfurt Environmental and Nature Conservation Agency will donate one tree to the nearby Willroder Forest for every 1,000 kilometers cycled.
To support this campaign, our CiS City Cycling team will collect kilometers every day, whether for work or leisure. The City Cycling app can be used to record the routes cycled and, in anonymized form, to further optimize and plan the cycle path network.
The traditional 20-kilometer kick-off tour starts on 18th September 2025, at 5:30 p.m. on Erfurt’s Domplatz with Mayor Andreas Horn. Under the motto “Radliebe trifft Kino” (Cycling Love Meets Cinema), the Bike Film Festival shows exciting stories about cycling on the big screen, almost every evening at a different location in Erfurt.
We wish all participants every success, many new trees, and above all, a new route record for our team when, for the fifth time, we say: Cycling together for a good cause.
