From 12th August 2024, the CiS Research Institute team cycled for 21 days for a good climate. During the campaign period, a new CiS distance record of 3,394 kilometers cycled was set, which corresponds to the donation of three trees
The city cycling competition starts today. The aim is to cover as many everyday kilometers as possible by bike during the 21-day campaign period. The motivated team of the CiS Research Institute is currently taking part in the competition with 16 members until 1st September 2024
Once again this year, the management of the CiS Research Institute invited employees to take part in a creative hands-on activity during the Easter period. The children of all employees were invited to submit self-drawn pictures of the Easter bunny or Easter crafts by today. Each participating child received a sweet surprise as a reward. The numerous creative submissions from the young artists can be admired in our online gallery.
The CiS Research Institute was able to invest in a modern high-temperature facility of the latest generation. The plant with many technical innovations is characterised by a high degree of flexibility for both series production and research and development
A total of five outstanding works by young researchers were honored yesterday with the Silicon Science Award. The award ceremony took place on 4th September 2023, as part of the opening event of the international 60th Ilmenau Scientific Colloquium “Engineering for a Changing World” in the Audimax of the Ilmenau University of Technology
For the fourth time, the CiS Research Institute participated in the environmental competition “Stadtradeln” (city cycling). The 15-member team cycled 2,750 kilometers during the campaign period. Thereby, the cyclists could not only avoid 446 kg CO2, but also won two trees for the tree planting campaign.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the CiS Research Institute, colleagues met on Friday afternoon at the Petersberg in Erfurt. Thomas Ortlepp and Thomas Brock thanked all present employees for the trustful cooperation. As location the east terrace on the Petersberg offered a fantastic panoramic view over Erfurt
CiS Forschungsinstitut hosted the second After-Work-BBQ of FIZ e.V. and offered plenty of space for networking and personal exchange with cool drinks and delicious barbecue with Thuringian grilled sausages and grilled vegetables. Within the scope of the in-house exhibition and the tour through the analytics center, the guests were able to get to know the portfolio of the CiS Research Institute better
