At the 17th annual RUN Corporate Run, an 18-member team from the CiS Research Institute ran the five-kilometer course through Erfurt’s beautiful, historic old town for the first time. The team wore matching blue shirts bearing the slogan “Micro-Sensors, Macro-Performance!” The message was clear and passionate: just as small sensors and big performance goals drive research, team spirit and enthusiasm for running also fueled their shared success.
The race started in mixed weather on Wednesday evening at 19:30 at Theaterplatz, and after the run, all participants gathered at Domplatz to celebrate their achievement and shared athletic success with the many other teams from all over Thuringia.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our running-enthusiast colleagues for their dedication and to Mario Bähr for serving as team leader.
The next team sporting event—the Erfurt Triathlon—is already on the horizon at the end of August.
