With the category “Innovative Product or Patent in the Healthcare Sector”, the Senetics Healthcare Group honors research and development achievements for the production of innovative products in the pharmaceutical, medical technology and biotechnology sectors.
The CiS Research Institute presented an optical blood pressure sensor as an innovative product idea. The optical sensor, worn in the ear, can detect changes in central blood pressure for each individual heartbeat. The cuffless solution suitable for everyday use and a high level of wearing comfort convinced the expert jury. In addition, the sensor can be easily integrated into other medical devices and consumer electronics.
Since 2012, Senetics Healthcare Group, a specialist in the healthcare sector, has presented the Innovation Award in three categories. In 2021, the award was under the patronage of Mr. Klaus Holetschek from the Bavarian State Ministry for Health and Care.
