On June 28, 2018, CiS Forschungsinstitut für Mikrosensorik GmbH celebrated its 25th anniversary. Together with 100 guests from research, politics and economy, we opened the day with a ceremony and completed it with a big family party at the egapark.
Numerous guests from politics, science and industry attended the ceremony in the atrium of the comcenter Brühl. Thuringia’s Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow addressed the audience.
The two keynote speeches were given by Prof. Roland Werthschützky (Head of the Department of Measurement and Sensor Technology at the Institute of Electromechanical Design at Darmstadt University of Technology) and Prof. Dr. Paolo Giubellino (Scientific Director of the particle accelerator centers Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe GmbH (FAIR GmbH) and GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung GmbH).
These two internationally recognized experts spoke about solutions with silicon-based sensors for the future fields of Industry 4.0, health care, sustainable energy supply and mobility. The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Dr. Cornelia Haase-Lerch, presented the management with the certificate of honor for the 25th anniversary.
