Interested, technology-oriented founders can still apply with their innovative business idea until March 1, 2024. The successful Thuringian technology competition getstarted2gether was initiated jointly by the Thuringian Ministry of Economics, Science and Digital Society together with the Thuringia Research and Technology Association (FTVT) and is part of the FTI-Thuringia TRANSFER guideline and thus part of the “Thuringia MOTIVation – move to innovation” funding umbrella brand.
The competition format, which is unique in Germany, has so far given more than 50 start-ups the opportunity to further develop their innovative product samples technologically, test them and successfully place them on the market. The prerequisite is a positive assessment in a short pitch by an expert jury from business, science and the innovation system as well as potential venture capital investors. With funding of a maximum of 200,000 euros for 6 months, the winners can then use the technical infrastructure and scientific expertise of a business-oriented research institution in the Free State of Thuringia.
With its 30 years of expertise in the development of high-quality, silicon-based microsensors and microsystems, especially in the fields of MEMS and MOEMS, the CiS Research Institute has already supported several companies in this getstarted2gether competition and helped them to successfully enter the market.
Interested start-up teams and young companies have access to microsystems technology processes and technologies along the entire value chain at our company. Our business unit managers Dr. Martin Schädel (MOEMS) and Dr. Klaus Ettrich (MEMS) are the right people to contact for an initial discussion.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs is providing a funding budget totaling one million euros for this in 2024. At the pitch on March 21, 2024, a start-up can also win the FTVT Audience Award, which is endowed with 1,000 euros. The prerequisite is a captivating presentation that demonstrates the greatest ecological and/or social added value in the pitch.
Applications for the technology competition can be submitted online at www.gs2g.de until 1st March 2024. The organizer is the Forschungs- und Technologieverbund Thüringen e.V.
