The CiS Forschungsinstitut für Mikrosensorik, located in the southeast of the city of Erfurt, is taking part in the Erfurt Long Night of Sciences for the seventh time. On 8th November 2019, engineers and scientists will present their research results and applications to interested visitors.
From 18:00 to 23:00 there is a lot to discover in the designated rooms of the CiS Research Institute. Several experiment stations are set up in the large conference room on the 3rd floor. For example, visitors can weigh their names or learn how damage can be detected with structure-borne noise. The Bionics Center in Walterhausen shows experiments for learning from and with nature.
On the ground floor is the scanning electron microscope (SEM), which shows high-resolution microscopy of nature and technology. At each half and full hour, groups of a maximum of ten people per guided tour can experience “small things big” at the SEM.
Admission to the events of the Long Night of Sciences is free for the first time.
We cordially invite all visitors to see, marvel and experiment.
