For the first time, the CiS Research Institute is presenting its developments at the international inventors’ fair iENA in Nuremberg. With over 500 inventions from 31 countries, the iENA is one of the most important platforms for innovations.
At the center of our exhibition is an optical sensor that replaces the classic blood pressure cuff. Integrated into an earmold, this sensor continuously measures blood pressure and uses an advanced algorithm to analyze precise patterns of the pulse pressure wave. In addition to the heart rate, it records parameters such as oxygen saturation and pulse wave velocity – a significant advance in preventive cardiovascular diagnostics.

Our second development is a MEMS sensor module that precisely monitors the application of force in screw connections. A specially designed measuring bar with high-precision silicon strain gauges makes force measurement position-independent and temperature-compensated – a practical approach to improving operational safety in technical applications.
