More than 100 teams set a new record at this year’s City Cycling event in Erfurt, covering 828,122 kilometers and saving a total of 136 tons of CO2. The 16-member team from the CiS Research Institute also took part, cycling around 3,000 kilometers during the campaign period
Five strong teams from the CiS Research Institute took on the sporting challenge at the 37th Erfurt Triathlon. The sprint relay triathlon involved a 750-meter swim, a 20-kilometer bike ride, and a 5-kilometer run. Congratulations to all participants
From 18th August to 7th September 2025, people will once again be pedaling hard – for a bicycle-friendly Erfurt, less car traffic, and lots of new tree planting. As every year, the Erfurt Environmental and Nature Conservation Agency will donate one tree to the nearby Willroder Forest for every 1,000 kilometers cycled
Once again this year, the management of the CiS Research Institute invited children to take part in a creative activity during the Easter period. The children of all employees were asked to submit pictures they had drawn of the Easter Bunny or Easter crafts they had made themselves. Every child who took part received a sweet surprise as a reward. The numerous creative submissions from the young artists can be admired in our online gallery
From 12th August 2024, the CiS Research Institute team cycled for 21 days for a good climate. During the campaign period, a new CiS distance record of 3,394 kilometers cycled was set, which corresponds to the donation of three trees
The city cycling competition starts today. The aim is to cover as many everyday kilometers as possible by bike during the 21-day campaign period. The motivated team of the CiS Research Institute is currently taking part in the competition with 16 members until 1st September 2024
