The “VIPO growth core“, a joint research project funded by the German government with seven million euros, is currently being launched. VIPO stands for virtual product and process optimization. The aim is to capture virtual production through simulation.
The CiS Research Institute is one of the three participating scientific partners and deals in particular with multiphysical simulation of optical-mechanical systems as well as optimal designs of sensor networks and their integration into context models. The technology platform VIPO to be developed will provide a platform for SMEs to create and use virtual product models.
