Organized by the Bauhaus University Weimar, a technology symposium of the growth core VIPO will take place on Friday, July 9, 2021. At this hybrid event, companies and research institutions will present their project results.
The CiS Research Institute is represented with 2 contributions at the VIPO Symposium. Dominik Karolewski will talk about “Coupling of simulation tools for optical and semiconductor physics calculations”. As a partner in the joint project “Virtual Product Optimization”, the CiS Research Institute is here investigating the coupling of optical simulation tools for diffraction and scattered light effects with semiconductor physics simulation tools for silicon microsensors.
Geert Brokmann reports on joint work with MFPA Weimar in the presentation “Demonstrator of a digital twin – sensor integration and coupling”. In this joint project, the CiS Research Institute focuses on: “Methods for the development of optimal sensor networks and calibration of physical models using sensor data” as well as the development and operation of a demonstrator and plausibility tests.
The growth core VIPO stands for Virtual Product and Process Optimization. The nine Thuringian project partners from industry and research work together in the joint projects “Virtual Product Optimization”, “Virtual Process Optimization” and “Digital Twin”. The consortium wants to establish a technology platform for SMEs with the aim to identify and close gaps in virtual product and process optimization along the entire value creation cycle by simulation.
The symposium will start on 09.07.2021 at 8:00 am. Registration for online participation is still possible on the website https://vipo-net.de/symposium2021/ until 02.07.2021.
