7. March 2019

The Thuringian Minister for Economy, Science and Digital Society, Minister Wolfgang Tiefensee, appoints Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Thomas Ortlepp as new member of the Thuringian Science Conference for a period of 4 years.

As an interface between science, politics, education as well as economy and society, this platform promotes the exchange and dialogue on current and strategic questions of economic and science policy in Thuringia. The research landscape in Thuringia ranges from basic research at universities to business-oriented research. Prof. Ortlepp represents the nine economy-related research institutions in Thuringia on this committee.

The economy-related research institutions are specialized in qualifying new scientific results under consideration of industrial reproducibility and converting them into products. They are thus a decisive building block for successful innovations by German SMEs.
