From May 27 to June 16, 2021, the citizens of Erfurt will be cycling in a race. Once again, a cycling team from the CiS Research Institute is taking part. The committed group wants to motivate fellow citizens to use a bicycle to make Erfurt even more climate-friendly. The annual competition is organized under the direction of the “Climate Alliance”, the largest network of cities, municipalities and counties for the protection of the world’s climate. For every 1,000 bicycle kilometers ridden during the period, the Environment and Nature Conservation Office, with the support of the association Schutzgemeinschaft Deutscher Wald, donates a tree.
Everyone can still take part! We wish all participants an accident-free ride and many cycled trees that will be planted in the fall.
