The Hannover Messe, the largest platform for industrial transformation, kicks off today. Over the next five days, our experts will be showcasing new project results and applications of silicon-based MEMS and MOEMS sensor concepts at the LEG’s Thuringian joint booth (Booth E24) in Hall 13.
Our highlights include:
MoViSEG: Development of a mobile vital signs sensor system for detecting hazardous situations in active leisure activities and for occupational groups subject to particularly high physical demands
This development is part of the ongoing collaborative research project “MoViSEG” led by partners KORA Industrie-Elektronik GmbH and CiS Forschungsinstitut für Mikrosensorik GmbH. The system is designed to combine an optical-digital in-ear sensor unit with a lightweight control and transmission unit mounted on a helmet. Heart rate and blood oxygen saturation are essential vital signs for assessing the health and current condition of emergency responders and pilots. They enable rapid detection of dangerous situations and provide the wearer or incident command with options for intervention.

NivLer: Retrofit kit for non-invasive pressure measurement
A retrofittable silicon strain gauge-based pipe sleeve with an integrated pressure sensor non-invasively measures changes in the strain of the process pipe. The measured values provide insights into material condition, wear mechanisms, maintenance, and energy consumption.
High-pressure sensor with flush-mounted media connection (DS300MPa)
For applications exceeding 70 MPa, thin-film technology on steel is primarily used. Sensors with a flush-mounted media connection can only be produced using this technology with considerable effort. A new technological development enables a strict separation from the electrical side and allows for customer-specific adaptations.
