As part of the GREAT H2 final conference, the CiS Research Institute is presenting sensor developments for the industrial application of green hydrogen. In his pitch, Dr. Klaus Ettrich, Head of the MEMS Business Unit at CiS Research Institute, will explain sensor solutions for safe use along the entire value chain of “green hydrogen”. Demonstrators from corresponding research projects will be on display at the trade exhibition
On the first day of the international industrial trade fair Hannover Messe, Reinhard Hans Bütikofer, Member of the European Parliament, visited our booth H26 in Hall 3. He had a lively discussion with our colleague Dr. Klaus Ettrich and Dr. Thomas Frank about applications of sensor technology to support the energy transition
At Hannover Messe 2023, the CiS Research Institute will present current development results at the joint booth of LEG Thüringen in Hall 3 Booth H 26, including high-precision, piezoresistive angular rate sensor for autonomous offline navigation as well as redundant temperature sensors based on Si-temperature diodes and platinum resistance elements up to an operating temperature of 300 °C.
In hall 2, booth C 57, the CiS Research Institute is also present at the booth of the FTVT e.V.
On 15.09. the CiS Research Institute presents its competences for a networked and intelligent infrastructure at the accompanying fair to the Thuringian Forum Mobility on the campus of the TU Ilmenau. Silicon-based sensors for hydrogen concentration measurement, sensors for CO2 measurement in breathing gas and indoor spaces or even special light incidence sensors will be shown at booth A8

The Hannover Messe will take place next week for the first time again as a presence event at the fairgrounds in Hannover. In Hall 3 at the Thuringian joint booth H08, the CiS Research Institute will present current development results from May 30 to June 2, 2022. At the industrial fair we will show two demonstrators for the determination of the operating power of as well as for the detection of the CO2 concentration in gases by means of NDIR sensor technology
InnoCON, the flagship event for the implementation and further development of the Thuringian Innovation Strategy, has just started. Steffen Biermann presents the joint project “IR sources for modern gas sensors”. Together with CMOS IR GmbH, the CiS Research Institute has developed a technology for the production of miniaturized IR emitters. Dr. Klaus Ettrich is the contact person for “H2 pressure sensors”. In the consortium HYPOS the CiS Research Institute developed a hydrogen resistant MEMS based pressure sensor, which can be used as a component in a H2 multisensor system that determines not only the pressure but also the temperature, residual gases and the concentration of hydrogen
