InnoCON, the flagship event for the implementation and further development of the Thuringian Innovation Strategy, has just started. Steffen Biermann presents the joint project “IR sources for modern gas sensors”. Together with CMOS IR GmbH, the CiS Research Institute has developed a technology for the production of miniaturized IR emitters. Dr. Klaus Ettrich is the contact person for “H2 pressure sensors”. In the consortium HYPOS the CiS Research Institute developed a hydrogen resistant MEMS based pressure sensor, which can be used as a component in a H2 multisensor system that determines not only the pressure but also the temperature, residual gases and the concentration of hydrogen
At the IVAM joint booth in Hall 13, we will present our development highlights under the slogan “Microsensors for tomorrow’s world” at Compamed 2021 in Düsseldorf. Dr. Martin Schädel reports on “Optical Blood Pressure Monitoring with PPG Sensors” at the COMPAMED HIGH-TECH Forum by IVAM
Miniaturized thermopiles and array arrangements for significantly more compact and more powerful sensors and measuring devices are to be developed in the currently launched MyTZe research project
The focus is on the development of thermopiles with special absorbers and their fabrication with established semiconductor processes. Through simulations and experiments with demonstrators on selected gases, the function is to be investigated and verified
The digital edition of the BMWi 2021 SME Innovation Day will take place on June 17, 2021. Under the heading Success Stories, the CiS Research Institute presents the successful INNO-KOM project Miniaturized Infra-Red Emitter Chip (MIREC)
Mid-Week Coffee Break – At the virtual technology talk of the IVAM trade association, the CiS Research Institute is the host on 19.05.2021. Our business unit manager MOEMS Dr. Martin Schädel will give the participants an insight into the topic “IR components for contactless temperature measurement and gas analysis”
Yesterday, the workshop autum at CiS was continued in an exciting way with the workshop on “Components of NDIR sensor technology” which is already in its second edition. Designed as a hybrid presence and online event, more than 40 experts from research and industry discussed specific infrared sensor development for the analysis of liquid and gaseous substances
With a new plasma-assisted etching process, a thin functional membrane and a break trench are simultaneously created for the following chip separation. In MEMS IR emitters, this results in more than a factor of 4 smaller areas and a dynamic range that is 2 times higher than that of the current state of the art
CiS presents the latest developments in optics and photonics on the special exhibition area “Microtechnologies for Optical Devices” designed by the IVAM Microtechnology Association daily from 9:30 to 17:00
