Mario Suckert, State Secretary for Economic Affairs at the Thuringian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture, and Rural Areas, visited the CiS Research Institute today. Thomas Brock, Managing Director of the CiS Research Institute, presented current research results and their application in industry. During the discussion, he also referred to the important role of business-oriented research institutions in the realization of innovative ideas from SMEs

Cooperation between administration, research and industry: The new Mayor of the state capital Erfurt, Andreas Horn, visited the CiS Research Institute in the south-east of the city last week together with Anastasia Sergan, Head of the Office for Economic Development. In addition to getting to know each other personally and gaining an overview of our research facility, they also discussed joint cooperation, in particular which location factors are necessary for an attractive working environment for highly motivated specialists

On his tour of the trade fair on 22.04.2024 as part of the Hannover Messe, Thuringian Minister President Bodo Ramelow and Christoph Eggers, Head of Division in the Thuringian State Chancellery, visited our exhibition at the LEG Thüringen joint stand in Hall 3, Stand D76. Dr. Klaus Ettrich, Head of the MEMS Business Unit, and Dr. Thomas Frank, Head of the MEMS Department, explained the CiS Research Institute’s portfolio to the guests and demonstrated the latest research results

Presentation of funding notification by Minister Tiefensee

Thuringia’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Mr. Tiefensee, presented a funding decision to the two managing directors, Mr. Brock and Prof. Ortlepp, during his visit to the CiS Research Institute on November 29, 2022. The funds come from EU REACT funds. Industry-related research institutions from Thuringia were able to qualify in a competitive call. The focus was on technologies and processes for a more sustainable use of energy and resources
